Existing concrete and surface preparation
Rubber surfacing can often be installed over stable concrete, asphalt or another approved base. Preparation may include cleaning, removal of loose material, repair work and attention to edges or drainage. A rubber overlay can bridge some stable surface imperfections, but it cannot correct structural movement in the substrate.
Toronto and GTA properties experience rain, heat, snow, ice and freeze-thaw cycles. A proper assessment helps identify cracking, low areas, poor drainage or movement that should be addressed before installation.
EPDM and TPV colour options
Rubber Decker installs systems using EPDM or TPV rubber, based on project requirements, intended use and colour selection. Rubber granules are combined with a professional binder and installed by hand to create a seamless finish.
Colour blends can be selected to coordinate with brick, stone, siding, pool finishes or landscape designs. The textured surface feels more forgiving underfoot than bare concrete and can improve traction, but no outdoor surface is entirely slip-proof, especially during wet or icy conditions.

Our approximate regular price is $14 per square foot. This figure is useful for early budgeting, but it is not a final quote. Size, access, parking and delivery conditions, base repairs, required thickness, colour blend, borders and design details all affect the completed cost.

Five-year warranty
Rubber Decker provides a five-year warranty covering installation or material failures, subject to the written warranty terms. Normal wear, accidental damage, misuse, structural movement below the system and conditions outside the installed work are considered separately. Applicable terms are provided with the quotation.
